This course provides the necessary skill training that is vital to students entering any of several aspects of the creative services industry. This includes the static visual arts, 3D animation, video production, game development, audio engineering, and sound design.

Job Outlook: The visual arts industry is the second largest (next to agriculture) and the fastest growing industry segment in California. Graphic Design in support of advertizing and product development and packaging will lead the recovery profile as our economy rebounds. EVERY product that comes to market will pass through the offices of a design professional and every effort to market new products will be handled by creative service specialists. Considering the explosion of technical resources now used to make motion pictures and video games, there will no doubt be a continuing demand for creative service industry works prepared to meet the challenge (Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2009)
